Claims: When Accidents happen
You or your local representative will need to contact our local representatives immediately in order to ensure efficient handling of your claim. You may do this via email to info@ziminsure.com or telephone our local offices. Delays may prejudice your claim. We will then instruct on procedures to be followed.
We will aim to organize settlement of routine claims
within 10 working days of submitting final documentation
or repairs authorized within 7 days.
The US Dollar sum insured in respect of vehicles is paid direct to you if the vehicle is a total loss/write off, by hijack, theft, fire or accident. This can be paid in Zimbabwe (and then remitted elsewhere) or paid to your external account.
Partial losses will be restored to pre-accident condition by Zimbabwean specialist repairers and paid in US dollars by Insurers without deduction for any under insurance, as the vehicle value will have been pegged in US Dollars at outset.
